¹⁰ At the turn of the year ^(A)King Nebuchadnezzar summoned him and took him to Babylon, ^(B)with the costly articles from the house of the Lord, and made ^(C)Zedekiah,^{[a] [b]}Jehoiakim’s brother, king over Judah and Jerusalem.

^11 (E)Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. ¹² He did evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and ^(F)did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke from the mouth of the Lord.
